This policy explains what personal information NTB Detailing Ltd collects through this website and when you get in touch, what we do with it, and the cookies we use. We keep it short and only collect what we need to quote for and look after your car.

What we collect
When you send an enquiry or quote request, we collect:
- your name, phone number and email address
- your town or location
- your car's make, model and year, and what you tell us about its condition
- the service you are interested in and your message
If you arrived from one of our adverts, the form also records which advert, campaign or search brought you to the site (for example a Facebook campaign name or a Google click reference). This tells us which adverts are worth paying for. It is not used to identify you anywhere else.
When you book with us, we also keep the details needed to carry out the work and invoice you, such as your booking dates, your vehicle registration, notes and photos of your car's condition, and payment records.
When you browse the site, our hosting provider records basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type to keep the site secure and working. If you accept cookies, Google Analytics and Meta also collect information about how you use the site. See the cookies section below.
How we use it, and our legal basis
- To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote. This is a step you have asked us to take before entering a contract with us.
- To book, carry out and invoice the work. This is needed to perform our contract with you.
- To keep financial records. We are legally required to keep these.
- To understand which adverts and pages bring in enquiries, and to keep the site secure. This is in our legitimate interests as a business.
- To use analytics and advertising cookies. We only do this with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
We do not sell your information, and we do not send you marketing unless you have asked us to.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with companies that help us run the business, and only what they need:
- Vercel hosts this website.
- Resend delivers the enquiry form to our inbox by email.
- Google provides Google Analytics (if you accept cookies), the map on our pages and our website fonts.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) measures our adverts, if you accept cookies.
- Elfsight displays our Google reviews on the site.
- Our accountant, and anyone we are legally required to share information with.
The details you type into our enquiry form are emailed to us. They are not sent to Google or Meta. Some of these providers are based in, or use servers in, the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the UK's data adequacy arrangements or standard contractual protections.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't lead to a booking: up to 12 months, so we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us.
- Customer and booking records: 6 years after your last booking, because we must keep financial records for that long.
- Analytics and advertising data: as set by Google and Meta, typically up to 2 years and 90 days.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete your information, where we don't need to keep it
- restrict or object to how we use it
- transfer it to another organisation, where this applies
Email info@ntbdetailing.co.uk and we will respond within one month. It's free. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
Cookies are small files saved by your browser. We use one cookie that the site needs to work, and two kinds that are optional. The optional ones are only set if you press Accept on our cookie banner.

If you decline, Google Analytics may still record an anonymous visit without setting any cookies, and Meta receives nothing. The Google map and the reviews widget are provided by Google and Elfsight, who may set their own cookies when they load. Their privacy policies explain how.
Changing your mind. You can change your choice at any time. (also linked at the bottom of every page). You can also delete cookies in your browser settings.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Our terms of business explain how bookings, deposits and cancellations work.
